Almost every developer hates at least one person he replaces at every job. When I left HotData, I heard the developer after me sat down, took one look at my code and said, “Fuck! This shit’s in Perl!” (it was 2000, and I would do anything not to write VBScript).
I ended up splitting last week’s comic into two. I busted my hump making sure I finished a model for Ada, and she’s not showing up until next week.
