Here’s my latest comic: https://inhumaneresourcescomic.com/#/panel/707.
I took out another reference Finch made that compares his involuntary employment to slavery. I might put that in sometime later.
The rest of this conversation is relatively spontaneous. I put together the three entries before this in a few months. This entry where Finch talks about why there’s a certain emotional distance from Ada and Charlotte, is established.
It’s not cleared up here, and I don’t know if the reader cares, but Charlotte is the second person to work for Green Skull, and she was hired kind of like Julius was. She was alienated and wanted to change her life.
Originally, Charlotte was a captive like Julius and Finch, but she finished her time and left, which Charlotte tells Julius in their first solo conversation. When they rehired Charlotte, she was allowed to come and go as she pleased, even though she mostly doesn’t.
Minor spoilers: Ada tracked down Green Skull and basically negotiated a contract on equal footing. She was never a captive.
